AJ Bennett

Currently traveling from Akron, Ohio, AJ has been attending BLW since 2015. He was introduced to the camping world at a young age through 4-H, later working as a camp counselor in Ohio and Michigan. AJ went to college at Kent State University for Sociology and LGBTQ Studies, and now works in Patient Access for Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. His wish for all BLW attendees, new and old, is that everyone can have a new and unique experience to take home with them.

Haylee Pelland

Haylee is originally from Swanton, Ohio, where she was involved with many different sports and groups within her community. She has been involved in Supercamp at Camp Palmer for 4 years as a camper and 7 years as a counselor. Supercamp is where she had heard about BLW. She is currently attending Owens Community College for Baking and Pastry. Haylee loves anything music related, and she also enjoys crocheting and spending time with her dog.

 

Katie Trout

Katie has been attending Buckeye since she was 15 years old. In that time she has grown her leadership skills in many areas including the arts, education, and professional development. She has been involved with 4-H from a young age and is an advisor for Archery and Living History. In addition to this, she will also be completing her Bachelor’s degree in digital design with Wright State University Lake Campus this spring. In her free time Katie enjoys sewing, watching movies, and playing with her dog, Leo.

Kyia Wolf

Kyia is from Wooster, Ohio. She was introduced to BLW through 4H and has been attending since 2023. She has worked as a camp counselor at the Wayne-Holmes 4H camp in the summer and is involved in the agriculture piece of 4H. Kyia is a recent graduate of Wooster High School and will be attending Cleveland State University in the fall to study psychology. She lives on a small farm and enjoys spending time with her goats.
