Morning Sessions

A RECIPE FOR SUCCESS   (E L T)
Whether you eat to live or live to eat, the need for fuel is something we all share.  Food is an integral part of our heritage and culture.  The goal of this session is to make people more comfortable in the kitchen.  Basic kitchen skills will help you to eat healthy, save money, and impress your friends.  With facilitators Christy Leeds and David Kalkbrenner, you will cook one dessert, side dish, and entree recipe over the course of the class.  We will also sample the final dishes made each day!  The session will include some food safety info, food preparation techniques, and recipes galore.    Estimated cost of $25.

BASIC TEAM CHALLENGE   (E L G T Y)
This session is designed to provide the first steps from participant to facilitator in the Adventure Education arena. You should consider this session if you want to learn basic framing and conducting skills. Safety – physical and emotional – will be stressed. The emphasis will be put on learning the activities. If you’ve participated in or observed a Team Building session and want to learn a little more or just want to learn new activities, then come play with Steve Arnold & John Fark. This class may be held outside.  Please dress appropriately for early Spring Mid-Ohio weather.

FABULOUS FIBER ARTS   (E L T Y)
This class will inspire participants to expand their creative boundaries!  Enjoy making mixed media artist trading cards, fabric postcards you can send in the mail and experiment with wool needle felting.  Many surprises are in store for your creative soul.  Join Quilt crazy gal Jenna Louise Morlock for lots of artsy fun!

ADVANCED DIGITAL IMAGING   (E L T Y)
In this class we will teach you how to enhance your digital camera pictures while in a camp setting. We will be focusing on how to edit pictures on a computer and manipulate them using many software programs. This class is for people that already know how to use their camera. We will also go over how to put a slide show together. Everyone will work on at least one slideshow at camp. Facilitated by Dave and Ted Zech; Dave has been a State Fair Photography Judge for 18 years, and Ted has a Graphics Arts background, and was his Schools newspaper Photographer.

OUTDOOR SKILLS   (E L T Y)
In Outdoor Skills we will be playing outside and in the woods, and get to do all the fun things that our kids and campers do in the summer.  We'll build shelters, light fires, play games, cook outside and much more.  Come and learn a handy set of skills that you can share with your campers and children! Ben Radley

MUSIC FOR ALL AGES (L M T Y)
Music programming through use of singing (with or without motions) can add to many types of events.  Learn how to use simple songs and movement to engage groups while having fun.  The ability to sing well is not a prerequisite.  Learn how to utilize instruments to enhance music.  Join Larry Hall, Bill Henderson and Jalisa Johnson as we present music for all ages.
